Positioning
The ONLY UK official Tour de France magazine.

Background
Published by Future for the seventh year running, The Official Tour de France Magazine provides the best coverage and insight of the world’s biggest annual sporting event.

Profile
The 2006 Edition, published in the beginning on June 2006, tries to answer the big question: who will succeed seven-time champion Lance Armstrong to win the Tour’s yellow jersey. The magazine focuses on the two leading candidates: recent Giro d’Italia winner Ivan Basso and 1997 Tour winner Jan Ullrich. All the other major contenders for the yellow jersey are also profiled.

The Official Magazine also features an exclusive interview with Britain’s David Millar, who talks candidly of his return to the sport at the Tour following his doping ban. He talks of his hopes for victory in the Strasbourg prologue, for which he has been preparing for the past eight months. The magazine carries detailed stage itineraries and profiles, bringing all the information needed to follow the race at the roadside or on TV. In addition, race director Jean-Francois Pescheux has offered his unparalleled expertise in assessing each stage and his predictions for potential stage winners. Additionally, full team listings are included with extensive details on each of the 22 teams.
